Our Logo: is based on ‘Spiralling Squares’ and the ‘Golden Ratio’, which are both rooted from the Fibonacci sequence.
The rule governing the numbers in a Fibonnacci sequence can be expressed as the difference equation: Un+2 = Un+1 +Un As n becomes larger, the ratio, Un+2/Un+1 approach the same limit a =1.61803…this ratio, called the golden section ratio, was studied by the Greeks in a geometrical context. The number sequence occurs in nature in many forms …psychologist have done experiments which suggest that people find the most pleasing rectangular shape is that with sides in the golden section ratio i.e. 1:1.61803…artist too have been fascinated by this ratio as have architects and used it in the design of their pictures or buildings…so we thought we need a natural, psycho, pleasing, artistic logo ... well that's what Leigh says!!
